We used CFD for this, the first in a series of hybrid fast-supply intervention vessels. It involved optimising its lines, predicting resistance under various load conditions, and investigating the use of both a bulb and our patented Hull Vane®.

We analysed this design to investigate viscous flow behaviour around its hull, determine its propellers’ wake fields and predict resistance at various draught/water depth ratios, speeds and loading conditions.
