We analysed and optimised the Texelstroom’s hull shape for both calm and rough sea conditions. We used CFD to analyse its thruster performance and the lateral wind forces exerted on the ship in extreme weather conditions.

In a 7-months projects, the propulsion was optimized by means of Computational Fluid Dynamics. The aim of the projects was to perform a multi-objective optimization on two speeds and two drafts.
